Noctua NH-U12P
Manufacturer: Noctua
Price: $59.99 @ NCIX.com
Noctua is back at Overclockers Online with another “sound-optimised premium component”. Last time, we looked at a fan from this Austrian company. Today, we have a CPU cooler. Heatpipe-outfitted coolers have become the norm and this one from Noctua is no different.

Featuring four dual heatpipes, tne Noctua NH-U12P tower isn’t unlike other coolers on the market. What makes it unique is the fact that it comes with the amazing NF-P12 fan that I reviewed last time.

Package
The NH-U12P comes in a cubish box that is unmistakenly Noctua thanks to the characteristic color scheme. A small window on the front allows a glimpse of the NF-P12 fan that comes with the cooler as well as some of the heatsink’s fins. A small list of features is present as well as a note that Noctua’s own NT-H1 thermal compound is included.
An extensive list of heatsink and fan specifications can be found on the top of the box. Note that the heatsink can accommodate up to two 120mm fans.

Noctua NF-P12 120mm
Many of you have probably never heard of Noctua before but they are one of the fastest growing companies manufacturing heatsinks and fans. I would even rank up with the folks like Thermalright, Cooler Master and Zalman. Nivedh was lucky enough to get a few new samples from Noctua before the end of the year and he’s been working his way through the reviews. Today we had the opportunity of posting our results from the Noctua NF-P12 120mm fan. Yes it is just a fan and yes I do have a dozen other reviews to post, so why did I make this weeks review the Noctua NF-P12? Simply because it’s one of the best out in the market. If you think fans have been over-developed, you’re wrong. The NF-P12 utilizes unique fins to reduce the overall noise. From the tests, there was no degradation in performance when pitting it against an Antec Tri-Cool. Best of all, you can pair this cooler up with the Noctua heatsink and maximize your performance. I will have a review of Noctua’s latest heatsink in the coming weeks.

Incoming Reviews: Noctua NH-U12P
When the samples arrive, they arrive in bulk! Nivedh received his NH-U12P the other night from Noctua. Noctua is a rising star in the industry of PC cooling but I’m very excited to see how this cooler performs. Anthony looked at the original NH-U12 almost a year and a half ago and it was a surprising piece of equipment. Since then we’ve seen a few fans and chipset coolers all perform extremely well.

Incoming Review: Noctua NF-P12
Nivedh just received the Noctua NF-P12 fan over the weekend. In past work Overclockers Online has done, Noctua has been very impressive. Their HSF combos performed amazingly well. We have high hopes with their new fan. It better not be some hot air.
